Paddle Point

Park somewhere sensible along this stretch of road and walk down to the river. This section only goes with a lot of water and is fast grade 3 down to Dulsie Bridge where there is the grade 4 Dulsie Gorge.
Bear in mind that there is a "point of no return" for Dulsie gorge that is quite far above the rapid itself and so you may want to inspect/mark the take out before you start the river!

Upper Findhorn
Put in here for the g3(4) section down to either Ardclach or Logie bridge. If you want a more exciting start put in above Dulsie gorge (g4) on river right. If not you can get down to the river on river left below the bridge.

Paddle Point

An alternate put in for the g2/3 middle Findhorn. This gets a few nice rapids that are between here and Logie bridge.
In the winter the hill down to the church is not gritted so if it's icy consider putting in at Logie bridge instead.

Paddle Point

Put in here for the grade 2/3 section to above Randolph's Leap (g4/5). There is parking river left of the bridge on the upstream side. There is an alternate put in further upstream at Ardclach but this may be unsuitable in very cold weather due to the very steep hill!

Paddle Point

If you are getting out after the middle section, the get out is easy to spot. The river swirls slowly around a huge bowl and some escapes through a narrow gap that you would have to fight quite hard to get through. Beach on river right and scramble up the steep bank. Randolph's Leap (g4/5 depending on the level) lies below.
Putting for Randolph's Leap and the gorge below you have to fight across and through the narrow gap before tackling the undercuts and holes of the rapid below.
If you'd rather a more sedate start, there is a narrow path cut into the cliff that will take you down to a beach below the rapid. Below this is the g3/4(5) gorge section.

Get out here and slog up the steep path to the houses. You can bring cars/vans down to pick up boats at the houses but please don't park here as it is a private road and the house owners are within their rights to ban all vehicles!

Apparently you can also put in here for the touring section down to the sea, though I've not done this.
