They also provide a useful tool with route planning, but it should be stressed, the right to paddle on some rivers is contested. Some people may inform you that you should not paddle on some sections of some rivers. Information entered on Paddle Points does not mean there is a right to access the water or use the water.

Easy take out at the York rowing club boathouse, steps on both sides of river
Can park on Hospital fields road (100m)
Nice looking site just down the road from pub. On the river.
Great pub with great food. Take out on floating jetty RHS of river. Can see the water from the pub. Great for a summer day.
Standard boat slipway, easy put in.
Tidal limit of river
Free parking - normally easy to launch but can be difficult if river is very low or very high.
Paddle away from the lock - nice 6 mile paddle to centre of York - can take lunch on the steps of the rowing club just the other side of york on the left.
Current is easy unless there has been heavy rain, aginst current on the way to York, with the current for the return
